Exercise and Diet For a Double Chin

Facial muscles begin to weaken as we age. Doing facial muscle exercises for a double chin will strengthen and shorten muscles. This will counter  drooping of the face ,neck and chin  that has occurred. A good overall posture and eating the right foods will certainly contribute to improve facial features as well as contour a double chin .
Supplements that strengthen muscles include Co Enzyme Q10 and MSM.

." Eating right and being physically active are a few examples of good habits that can help your body stay fit and young. But this is also true for our facial muscles which tend to lose their firmness as we age.

I found this informative article that shows exercises to get rid of a double chin:

Although these exercises will help ,I believe that you must help the skin and underlying facial muscles with the correct nutrients. These are the ones that I found most helpful:

Supplements that strengthen muscles include Co Enzyme Q10 and MSM.

Silicon dioxide : contributes to healthy a healthy skin and slows aging. Your levels of silicon decrease with age, causing your dietary needs for silicon to increase. Sources for silicon dioxide, include alfalfa, beets,  bell peppers, soy beans and leafy green vegetables also provide ample amounts of this nutrient. Other food sources for silicon dioxide include asparagus, Jerusalem artichokes, parsley, sunflower seeds. Grain husks from barley, oats, millet and wheat also contain silicon dioxide.

Collagen Production

Nutrients linked with collagen production include vitamin C, zinc, and the herb Calendula.

 Vitamin C.

Human bodies do not produce its own vitamin C, so it must be obtained through diet. Here is a list of foods high in Vitamin C

Zinc

Zinc is another nutrient that may help with increased collagen production.Foods that contain Zinc are the following :

Wheat germ Is  an excellent source of zinc with a 100 gram serving providing 17 mg of zinc, you only need 15 mg per day 100 grams of wheatgerm provides 111% of the recommended daily allowance . Sprinkle it on food like salads, rice or in gravies

Pumpkin Seeds: A 100 gram serving of pumpkin seeds contains about 10.3 mg of zinc, contributing 69% daily value ( of this mineral.

Sesame seeds: Whether eaten raw, roasted or ground into tahini butter, a 100 gram serving of sesame seeds provides about 10 mg of zinc. An easy way to add Sesame seeds to your diet is to eat  hummus.

Meats: Meats are one of the best foods rich in zinc. For example Beef, lamb, pork, chicken and turkey. A 100 gram serving of cooked lean beef contains 12.3 mg or 82% Daily Value of zinc. Similarly, 100 grams of cooked lean pork provides 5 mg or 33% Daily Value of zinc. Chicken is also a good source with one cooked drumstick providing 15% Daily Value of this mineral

For increased collagen production remember Calendula.
How to make calendula tea:

Use dried  Calendula flowers: Place  a tablespoon of dried Calendula flowers in a coffee mug and pour boiling water over the flowers. Cover  and let steep for around 15 to 20 minutes.Pour through a sieve and drink.Authors Deborah Mitchell and Hunter Yost, in their book "A Woman's Guide to Vitamins, Herbs, and Supplements," write that calendula is anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, increases blood flow to damaged areas of the body, and it produces collagen proteins

Conclusion: Exercises will strengthen facial muscles , improve facial features and your double chin will shrink .Add nutrients to support skin health.... and you have a winning recipe.
